Breakthrough Charity Challenge is diary which follows my progress towards a skydive in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, due to take place on 22nd May 2010.

I am Marketing & Communications Director for Spicers in the UK.

Prior to joining Spicers in November 2008, I spent 4 years as Marketing Director for Hamelin Paperbrands (previously John Dickinson Stationery). Before this I worked in a variety of marketing roles in companies such as The Automobile Association, John West Foods Ltd, Peaudouce (UK) Ltd and Britax Consumer Products Ltd.

This blog will follow the highs and lows over the coming months and the challenges that are faced on fitness, fundraising, weight loss and ultimately falling out of the sky. It will also highlight some of the much greater challenges faced by women with breast cancer, which make my skydive insignificant in comparison. 

There will, I hope, be many personal achievements. The most significant of these achievements will, however, be the opportunity to raise funds to help Breakthrough Breast Cancer continue to work towards their vision of a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
